Summer Roundup

Summer is almost officially over so I decided to take this weekend and try to compile some of the "highlight" pictures/videos from our family's past few months. Of course, not everything made it in (there's simply too much material to put on this blog) but here are some of the pictures I liked:

The lazy days of summer.

And, of course, no summer is complete without bike-riding.

One of our family's favorite activities has always been the AMAZING Colorado Springs Zoo.

And what would summer be without ICE CREAM!!!

And indoor camping...
This summer we visited a number of cool museums, including the Colorado Dinosaur Museum.

And some days we were just lazy around the house.

Summer isn't complete without baseball.

A "Mom Sandwich"

Grandma and Grandpa Jones even paid us a visit this summer.

And one of the highlights of this summer: The Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

But alas, all good things must come to an end, and sooner than we could blink, Jaxson was back in school.

See ya next summer!

And, of course, some videos. The first two are from our trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the last one is from the Colorado Springs Zoo birdcage:

Family Day at Santa's Workshop

About a month ago our family spent the day playing at the North Pole...Santa's Workshop to be specific. Don't believe me!?! See for yourself:

Santa's Workshop in Colorado Springs has been a staple attraction for children for over 50 years. You can check out their website by clicking here.

Jaxson crusing in style.

Hanging out with the big man himself.

Mom crammed in with Zakary. He was too scared to go alone.

And a video:

And here are a few pics I was able to dig up from 2007:

Jaxson lookin cool in his bug car!

Riding Rudolph

This was BY FAR Jaxson's favorite ride! We had to take him on it at least 4 times!

The rocket ship was another favorite! Jaxson especially loved the gun on the front that shot "yogurt" according to this pilot!

The Colorado Renaissance Festival

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! On this, the 18th day of June, in the Year of our Lord 2011, I, Sir Hart of the Springs of Colorado, along with the Fair Maiden Elizabeth and our two knights, Jaxson the Brave and Zakary the Fearless, didst attend ye ol' festival of the Renaissance in the Kingdom of Larkspur, Colorado. The following art' still images of our quest for diversion:

A fine kingdom indeed.

The clan of Hart purchasing weapons of warfare for our brave knights.

Our brave knights, go forth and defend thy kingdom from the rabble heathens. Tis' better to die in battle than to live as cowards!

Ye Ol' kingdom:

A fine meal indeed for any warrior.

Ay, even Sir Johnny Depp, the evil Pirate Jack Sparrow didst grace us with his presence.

Drink up me 'earties, yo ho! We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

A weary warrior dost' require rest.

Enchanted videos of our brave voyage:
